What's the best paint for metal?
For most outdoor metal, a direct-to-metal (DTM) or rust-inhibiting enamel works best. Remove loose rust, scuff-sand, and use a metal primer on bare steel. Our full guide compares the top options.
Can you use acrylic paint on plastic?
Yes, with the right prep. Lightly sand, clean with rubbing alcohol, apply a plastic bonding primer, then seal with a clear coat so the paint doesn't peel or scratch off.
Is garage floor paint as good as epoxy?
Epoxy is tougher and more resistant to hot tires and chemicals. Garage floor paint is cheaper and quicker to apply but wears sooner. The cheat sheet shows which suits your budget and use.
